Our Fleur de Sel Sea Salt orginates from the ancient salt ponds of the Guerande region of France, and is Certified Organic. It is considered the best of the French Gourmet Salts.
This salt is harvested using traditional Celtic methods. The sea water is evaporated in clay-lined salt ponds, and hand raked by Paludiers (French Salt Farmers) as the crystals form. The crystals are carefully collected from the very top layer from these famous salt ponds by techniques handed down from one generation to the next.
This is an ideal salt for all applications. We recommend that it be used with the following SECOLARI olive oils and products: Basil, Rosemary, Garlic, Jalapeno, Habanero, Lime, Blood Orange, Lemon, or Tandoori Olive Oil; all SECOLARI soups, stews, chilies, sides and chowders.
