Place rice in strainer and run under cold water. Rinse thoroughly. In a medium size pot, add the rice and broth. Bring to a boil; simmer uncovered for about 45 minutes. After 30 minutes, check for doneness. Rice should not be too soft.
Place a thin towel on a colander. Ad the boiled rice and strain well. Transfer the rice to a bowl when completely free of liquid.
Add remaining ingredients and toss well to combine. Allow to stand for at least 2 hours.
