There are thousands of olive varieties, but only 150 or so account for about 90 percent of the world’s production of olive oil. While, unfortunately, we cannot bring all of these varieties to you, we do offer a representative sample of olive oils that are single varietals. In other words, olive oils that are cold pressed from a single type of olive and are not blended with any other type.
Each of our single varietals fall within one of the three styles of Extra Virgin olive oil— delicate, medium and robust.
Each of these oils are from olives that are grown and pressed by a family in the San Joaquin Valley of California, who has been farming in the valley for over five generations. True organic farming methods are employed in their grove of Arbequina olives, while sustainable farming is used for the Mission, Arbosana and Koroneiki varietals. This well established family recently assumed ownership and primary responsibility for one of the oldest olive groves within the state of California. Each of these oils has won numerous awards, and whether it be for the emerging or established olive oil connoisseur, they provide a well balanced introduction to the healthful and tasteful benefits of this natural gift.
