Turkish Pizza, Lahmacuns
Ingredients
- 8 ounces ground lamb or beef
- 1 bunch italian parsley finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon Secolari Arbosana Olive Oil
- 1 large sweet onion minced
- 1 large ripe tomato finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper finely chopped
- Secolari Roasted Garlic Sea Salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- red pepper flakes
- 2 packages ready-made pizza dough
- Secolari Traditional Balsamic a drizzle
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400F.
- Place the ground meat in a bowl. Combine with parsley, garlic, oil, onion, tomato, bell pepper and season with salt & pepper.
- Add the tomato paste and red pepper flakes.
- Add 1-2 tablespoons of water, and then knead with your hands until smooth.
- Flatten each round of pizza dough with your hands to a ¼ inch thickness; create a circular surface.
- Using your hands, divide the meat mixture evenly between the circular bases.
- Bake about 10 – 15 minutes.
- When ready, drizzle some balsamic vinegar on top and serve warm.
