3 Amazing Salads That Pair Well With Balsamic Vinegar Dressing

Did you know that not only is balsamic vinegar tasty, but it also has various health benefits? In this case, you might be wondering how to use balsamic vinegar dressing so you can reap these health benefits while boosting your greens.

To help you out, here are 3 amazing salads that pair well with balsamic vinegar dressing.

1. Strawberry Balsamic Salad

In this salad, you’ll need slices of strawberry, as well as some sliced toasted almonds, red onion, crumbled feta cheese, and red lettuce. All of these will make up your salad.

As for the vinaigrette, you’ll need to chop up some shallot and garlic. Put these into a blender, as well as the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, and some salt and pepper.

Put your blender on pulse and run it until the mixture is nice and smooth. Once it is, put in some olive oil and pulse again until it’s blended. You can then pour this onto your salad after you’ve arranged it on your plate.

2. Apple Walnut Salad

As the name suggests, you’ll need slices of apple and walnut for this salad. A great choice for apple would be Gala, as they’re nice and sweet.

Slice your apple thin and do so right before you serve your salad. Otherwise, they’ll turn brown from oxidation. You can also soak them in lemon water for 5 minutes to keep them from browning.

Although this salad calls for walnuts, you can substitute it with sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, or pecans. Other ingredients you’ll need are red leaf lettuce, red onions (or shallots), and feta cheese (or goat cheese). If you bought feta as a block, crumble it beforehand.

Create a simple balsamic vinaigrette by mixing together the balsamic vinegar, Dijon mustard, and honey. Pour this all over your salad once you’ve cut the lettuce and assembled the entire thing.

3. Simple Green Salad

Maybe you’re not a fan of putting different fruits and nuts into your salads. And that’s ok!

In that case, you’re better off with a simple green balsamic vinegar salad. Gather all your favorite greens, such as spinach, chard, arugula, red or green mustard, and baby kale. Feel free to add some other types of veggies to spice things up, such as radish and tomatoes.

If you’re not a fan of honey mustard, you can still make a delicious balsamic vinaigrette. Simply mix one part balsamic vinegar to three parts olive oil, and add some salt and pepper in. Once everything’s thoroughly mixed together, you can pour it over your simple green salad.
